Songwriting Camp for Women

For the first time in Estonia, a songwriting camp aimed at women will feature renowned producers and songwriters from the USA and Sweden as external mentors. There were 63 applications to participate in the camp, and 15 female musicians were selected.

The goal of the camp is to support the diverse and equal development of the domestic music market, promote international cooperation, and support and introduce future creators alongside today’s stars.

Most applications were received for participation as artists, and the fewest as producers.

The participants selected for the camp are:

Artists: Anna Kaneelina, Ellip, Pološywa, Shira, Tuuli Rand

Topliners: Anett Kulbin, Hanna Selgis, Kaisa Ling, Kristi Raias, Susanna Aleksandra Veldi

Producers: Anett Tamm, Anneliis Kits, Mariin Kallikorm, Maris Pihlap, Paula Hakkaja

Five renowned female producers from abroad, who have worked with well-known Swedish pop artists and global legends, have been involved as mentors in the camp via the web.

From the USA, songwriter and producer Vanessa Silberman, who has also worked as a studio engineer for David Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti, and Ms Madli, an Estonian-origin producer based in New York who co-produced Anett’s album “Morning After,” will participate.

Representing the Swedish pop industry are Selen Özan, who has produced hits for artists such as Miriam Bryant and Veronica Maggio, and R&B producer and songwriter Mona Koshoi, who has honed her professional skills in collaboration with super producers Carl Falk (Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj) and Sidney Swift (Beyonce).

Mentor Andrea Rocha, of Mexican-Canadian descent, also participates. She lives and works in London, where she engages in songwriting and production, and works as a studio musician-cellist. She has worked with artists such as Liam Payne, Calum Scott, Becky Hill, and Ella Eyre.
