AMP Focus
AMP FOCUS is a development program for experienced music entrepreneurs who have an export plan and a chosen target market, and who need support in finding contacts, local market knowledge, and additional investments.
Applications are closed.
Five Estonian music companies will be selected to participate in the program. These companies should have a clear operational and development plan in place and come to the program with a specific focus on a foreign market and an export plan.
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
- Involvement of a foreign consultant whose main role is to provide an overview of the target market and help prepare a personalized contact trip to the market for the company. The program includes at least one meeting with the consultant in Tallinn and two meetings online.
- A joint meeting with foreign consultants in Estonia, with introductions to the selected target markets for all participants.
- An individual contact trip to the target market with the aim of finding new potential partners there.
- Additional funding of up to 5,000 euros for each participating company to carry out other steps necessary for the implementation of the export plan, such as follow-up activities and further required trips to the target market, artist performances at showcase festivals, participation in conferences, fairs, or business delegations, hiring PR support, etc. (Eligible activities and types of expenses are limited and must be pre-approved by Music Estonia).
- Participation of up to 2 company representatives in seminars with the following focuses: 1) sustainable music export, 2) digital waste reduction, 3) mental health.
- One session of mentorship from a mental health well-being expert.
Participation in the AMP FOCUS program also entails the expectation that participating companies will contribute to the circulation of knowledge:
- Sharing experiences and lessons learned related to export at a joint seminar at the end of the program.
- Participation as mentors in the 2025 mentoring program (5 meetings, paid).
- Willingness to participate as speakers/panelists at regional music business seminar days in 2025 in Pärnu, Tartu, and/or Viljandi (expenses covered).
Program participation fee: 500 euros per month (6 months) or 3,000 euros. The total value of the program is over 10,000 euros, with a self-contribution of approximately 30%.
Five music companies registered in Estonia (OÜ, AS) will be selected to participate in the program. The selection will be made by a five-member expert committee based on the application forms. Participating companies must have no tax debts and must have submitted their financial statements on time.
Evaluation criteria:
Target group / participant profile:
- An Estonian music company with advanced export experience. It can also be an artist with export experience who has their own company under which their economic activity is developed.
- The clarity and thoroughness of the application will be assessed, including:
- A clear service/product/offer for the export market.
- A clear and justified market focus.
- Thoughtful and realistic expected outcomes.
- The suitability of the program as a “tool” to achieve the goals.
Having an idea for a consultant or a precise budget allocation proposal is not a prerequisite but serves as input to better understand the company’s plans. These steps will be discussed during the program with Music Estonia and the foreign consultant.
