The seminar, organized in collaboration with Tallinn Business Incubator and TalTech, brought together experts and sparked a discussion on the role of AI
On January 16, 2025, the seminar “The Role of Software and AI in the Future of the Music Industry” took place at the TalTech Mektory building. The Tallinn Business Incubator and TalTech organized the event with Music Estonia.
The seminar focused on the impact of artificial intelligence and software on music creation, performance, and distribution.
One of the speakers was Karl Õkva, Business Development Manager at Thorgate, who shared practical examples of technological solutions in the music industry, both from Estonia and abroad. He introduced Thorgate’s contributions to music heritage preservation, collaborations with the Estonian National Opera, and previous experiences in developing music-sharing platforms in South Africa and Sweden.
Other speakers included music producer and sound engineer Markus Palo, who discussed the use of AI in music production, and Kristjan Nõlvak, founder of Scoremusic, who introduced paperless music creation and performance solutions.
The event brought together music industry professionals, technology experts, and students, offering valuable insights and opening up new opportunities for innovation and collaboration at the intersection of music and technology.
