Fighting Climate Change with Music: Seminar Featuring EarthSonic, Thermal Beets, and EarthPercent

On March 19th, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, a seminar will be held on Zoom, discussing the music industry’s role in environmental conservation and sustainability. The event will highlight inspiring initiatives and practical solutions that help the music industry contribute to the fight against climate change. The seminar will focus not only on the environmental impact of large concerts and touring but also on broader opportunities for different sectors of the music industry, such as artists, record labels, and publishers, to operate in an eco-friendly way.

Participants include several well-known figures, including:

Saria Tourbah and EarthSonic – a project that combines science and art to raise awareness about the impact of climate change through music.

Larry Jaffee and Thermal Beets Records – an innovative initiative producing vinyl records made from plant-based materials, replacing traditional PVC with a more environmentally friendly option.

Becky Young and EarthPercent – a music industry climate fund that allows songwriters to direct a portion of their publishing income toward environmental conservation.
