jazzahead!
Location: Bremen, Germany
jazzahead! – One of the World’s Largest Jazz Events
jazzahead! is one of the world’s biggest jazz events, bringing together key players in the scene, including musicians, record labels, agencies, festival organizers, bookers, and media representatives. Since 2006, the event has been held in Bremen, Germany, featuring a trade fair, conference, and showcase festival program.
From April 24–26, 2025, the global jazz community will gather to network, exchange ideas, participate in conferences and panels, and experience 38 official showcase concerts, along with the CLUBNIGHT program. In 2024, the festival welcomed approximately 3,000 professional attendees from 66 countries and 15,000 general visitors.
The joint representation at the jazzahead! showcase festival is coordinated by Music Estonia and the Estonian Jazz Union, aiming to continue presenting Estonian jazz music on an international level, creating new export opportunities for Estonian jazz musicians and expanding the global network. Baltic partners include the Latvian Music Information Centre and the Lithuanian Jazz Union. The CLUBNIGHT program is partnered with Zentrum für Kunst (ZkR) and Senatskanzlei Bremen (Bremen City Government). The Baltic Night of CLUBNIGHT is part of the 40th-anniversary collaboration between the twin cities of Riga and Bremen. Estonia’s participation is supported by the Estonian Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Endowment of Estonia. The reception is sponsored by Punch Club, and the exhibition area is equipped by Studio Sound and Valge Klaar.
For the first time, Baltic collectives will perform a joint program at CLUBNIGHT. Representing Estonia will be Kadri Voorand and Mihkel Mälgand.
In the main program, where 40 artists are selected by a jury of experts from hundreds of bands, the Estonian-Swedish ensemble Tuulikki Bartosik & Svante Söderqvist Trio – The Rocket will perform this year.
