Erasmus+ Program SAFEPLACE

Three boutique festivals Yosigrock (Italy), Haldern Pop (Germany) and Taksirat (Macedonia) have partnered up with Music Estonia (Estonia), APS Nous (Italy), BJCEM (Belgium) and Vitatiim (Estonia) to develop a unique capacity-building program that will be implemented around Tallinn Music Week 2023

The boutique festivals contribute significantly to the local communities by creating a cultural and social impact by introducing new talent, involving the locals, translating social values from theory to reality and creating unforgettable moments on and off stage. Through volunteering, festivals offer a first insight into a potential professional career, an alternative to the daily routine. Festivals can foster diversity by including everyone, especially the most fragile of our societies, in a joint creative endeavour where the sum is much greater than its parts. That is why this project is directed towards the locals that do not have any (or have very little) experience in volunteering but would like to start.

Through specifically developed capacity-building activities, SAFEPLACE gathers best practices in a pilot program, designed to subsequently share the outcome with the community of event organizers. Project speaks with the next generation of European festival organizers and professionals, about values, empowerment, inclusivity, accessibility and the positive madness needed to create the extraordinary. Project is funded by Agenzia Nazionale Per i Giovani “Erasmus+. EU programme”.
